Our Story
I'm John Henze, a formally trained cabinetmaker, a self-proclaimed tree hugger, and a licensed general contractor. I started in trade school in high school and never really looked back. Wood has character, warmth, and history. When shaped well, it creates spaces that feel comfortable and timeless.

Construction runs in the family. My brother is a master carpenter with decades of field experience, and my son is a passionate electrician who brings modern knowledge and precision to every project. Together, we blend traditional craftsmanship with today’s building standards.

Our
Philosophy
OUR GOAL IS SIMPLE:
To improve your home in a way that is architecturally pleasing, functional, and timeless.

We design and build cabinetry and millwork that can lean toward Old American character or European modern simplicity. We create kitchens that are beautiful, but built for real cooks. Bathrooms that feel like a retreat, but function effortlessly.
During a visit to Japan, I was inspired by the bathing tradition: sitting on a wooden bench, slowly washing with warm water from a wooden bucket before soaking in a hot pool. It wasn’t rushed. It was intentional. That experience shaped how I think about bathrooms. These are spaces that invite you to slow down and enjoy them.
Homes should feel like that: thoughtful, calm, built to last.

Collaboration & Budget
free consultation + quote
We believe construction should be collaborative.
Some clients bring detailed drawings. Others show us a single photo and say, “Can you build this?” and we can. We enjoy working closely with homeowners and welcome active participation throughout the process.

We are comfortable working within a wide range of budgets large or small. Our job is to help you get the best possible result within your investment.

Change orders are a natural part of remodeling. As ideas evolve, plans adjust. We approach changes reasonably and professionally, not punitively.
